Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Ability to understand and converse in English at a level that allows safe and efficient job performance
- Be able to lift 25-50 pounds
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and lift
- Competent in using proper cleaning chemicals
- Ability to learn and apply new healthcare cleaning procedures
- Availability to work scheduled part-time hours including weekends and rotating holidays

- Ability to learn and demonstrate new procedures related to healthcare environment
- Experience in basic and heavy-duty cleaning functions
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
Job Duties
- Perform the 8-step cleaning procedures including daily cleaning, discharge cleaning, bed making, spot cleaning, toilet cleaning, high and low dusting, and Operating Room terminal cleaning
- Complete work from previous shift as needed and report incomplete tasks and maintenance issues
- Clean organic body waste such as blood, feces, sputum as instructed
- Hang cubical, shower, and window curtains
- Disinfect and sanitize IV poles, pumps, and patient equipment upon discharge
- Perform all Environmental Services-related tasks following department guidelines
- Assist in office moves, conference room setups, and clean emergency spills when observed or requested
