Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- ability to follow safety procedures
- knowledge of chemical handling and cleaning tasks
- physical capability to perform cleaning duties
- willingness to work weekends, holidays and additional shifts
- ability to communicate effectively with residents and supervisors
- adherence to infection control policies

Job Duties
- clean all resident apartments, common areas and offices to maintain cleanliness
- follow work and cleaning schedules accurately
- report hazardous conditions or equipment promptly
- remove trash and paper from all facility areas
- maintain assigned work areas safe and tidy
- use protective equipment when handling infectious or hazardous materials
- handle chemicals safely and according to instructions
- follow labeling and MSDS policies
- report missing or mislabeled hazardous chemical containers
- practice infection control and universal precautions
- clean resident furniture upon transfer or discharge
- clean and stock housekeeping cart and secure it
- deliver mops and cleaning cloths to laundry at shift end
- disinfect main bathtubs daily
- attend scheduled in-services
- demonstrate flexibility by working holidays and extra shifts
- support marketing efforts through positive interaction
- communicate resident condition changes immediately
- display tact and friendliness when interacting with residents and visitors
- maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests
- encourage teamwork among coworkers and departments
- maintain professional image through dress and conduct
- perform other related duties as assigned
