Job Requirements

  • must be at least eighteen years old
  • must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
  • willingness to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, up to 28 weeks
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for long periods
  • must pass pre-employment drug screening including marijuana and other controlled substances
  • adherence to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • must abstain from alcohol consumption while onboard
  • willingness to participate in safety and emergency training
  • acceptance of temporary nature of the position with no guarantee of extension or promotion

Job Qualifications

  • ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
  • strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • ability to work well under pressure
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • previous hospitality experience is a plus but not required

Job Duties

  • creating and maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
  • prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
  • acknowledging guests by name and responding to housekeeping inquiries promptly
  • vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • organizing inventory and stocking linens and supplies
  • cleaning up spills promptly and reporting maintenance needs
  • collecting and disposing of trash responsibly
  • cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • building genuine relationships with guests and efficiently handling housekeeping requests
  • greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events such as afternoon tea and cocktail parties
