Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience is an advantage
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs or more
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Must have the ability to work with industrial laundry equipment and cleaning chemicals
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to follow directions and work with minimal supervision
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if required
  • Must comply with hotel safety and operational rules

Job Qualifications

  • Physically fit and able to bend, stoop, and lift
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Experience working with industrial laundry and cleaning equipment
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety
  • Good communication skills to understand guest needs
  • Ability to adhere to hotel policies and procedures
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required
  • Understanding of guest service standards
  • Capability to work collaboratively with team members

Job Duties

  • Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
  • Proceed to the laundry area to pick up assigned cart and supplies
  • Minimize noise in guest room areas to avoid disturbance
  • Clean check-out rooms first unless special request is made
  • Report all do not disturb rooms to supervisor for approval
  • Change sheets in every room daily unless otherwise specified
  • Clean rooms according to established procedures
  • Return cart to linen room at end of shift
  • Carry out all reasonable requests by management
  • Be flexible regarding work schedule
  • Report to work on time and in proper uniform
  • Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations and changes
  • Be aware of guest service scores and participate in achieving goals
  • Handle all duties following hotel policies and standards
  • Be familiar with emergency procedures and act accordingly
  • Report unusual occurrences to management
  • Assist fellow associates to improve daily operations
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Maintain valid drivers license and proof of insurance if applicable
