Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of one year previous housekeeping experience in healthcare preferred
Ability to operate cleaning carts, floor machines, vacuums, scrapers, dust pans, chemicals, brushes, buckets and wringers, dust mops, long handled cleaning devices, mops, caddies, trash receptacles, reusable containers, mats, elevators, and ladders
Ability to work independently and follow directions
Detail oriented with strong interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills
Knowledge of proper handling procedures of regulated medical and solid waste

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Cleans and disinfects designated areas including ceilings, vents, floors, window sills, furniture, bathrooms, and elevators
Operates cleaning machinery such as vacuums, floor care machines, and scrubbers
Manages trash and linen collection, including packing and compacting trash
Restocks and transports cleaning and medical supplies
Arranges and moves furniture, mattresses, and equipment as needed
Reports minor repair and safety issues to supervisors or Engineering department
Enters discharge information into bedtracking system
