Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is preferred but not required
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks
Willingness to work long hours and maintain a professional appearance
Ability to follow safety protocols and ship policies
Must be able to work onboard for the full 28-week season

Job Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
Able to pass a pre-employment drug test including testing for marijuana and other controlled substances
Willing to comply with grooming standards regarding visible tattoos and piercings
Possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Able to perform emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship

Job Duties

Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines’ service standards
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
Collecting and disposing of trash
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
Greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
