Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 18
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work long hours up to 12 hours per day and 7 days a week
- Physical capability to perform moderate lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening
- Adherence to grooming standards including restrictions on visible tattoos and piercings
- Willingness to abide by company policies including prohibition of alcohol consumption onboard
- Commitment to temporary employment of up to 28 weeks
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
- Must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Must pass federally mandated pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Ability to provide safe and conscientious service to guests
- Compliance with grooming standards limiting visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to handle emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
- Greeting guests upon embarkation, and helping during special events including but not limited to afternoon tea and snacks and participate in evening cocktail parties
