Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices and cleaning protocols
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that require standing, walking, lifting, and bending
- Basic understanding of chemical safety and proper handling procedures
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning and disinfecting of resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, nursing stations, dining areas, hallways, and staff workspaces
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, and equipment according to infection control and facility protocols
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces frequently throughout the day to reduce the spread of infection (e.g., doorknobs, handrails, elevator buttons)
- Replenish soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other hygiene supplies in restrooms and resident areas
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and usage of cleaning chemicals and supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and facility training
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets and supply carts
- Remove and dispose of general and biohazard waste safely, following standard precautions and infection prevention guidelines
- Assist in deep cleaning routines for rooms after resident discharge or transfer, including bed frames, walls, and curtains
- Monitor and report pest control concerns, water leaks, mold, or other environmental hazards to the supervisor immediately
- Communicate effectively with nursing and maintenance teams regarding special cleaning needs or urgent issues
- Participate in fire safety, emergency, and infection control drills and procedures as required
- Provide respectful and courteous service to residents, always maintaining privacy and dignity
- Support the facility's mission of providing a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for long-term care residents
- Adhere to daily work schedules and complete required housekeeping logs or checklists
