Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality preferred but not required
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and crew
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Willingness to follow company policies and safety procedures
Must be able to work extended hours and physically demanding tasks
Willingness to abstain from alcohol consumption while employed
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Must adhere to grooming and appearance standards

Job Qualifications

Must be at least eighteen years old
Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per day for 7 days a week
Willingness to work for up to 28 weeks onboard
Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
Ability to maintain composure and positive attitude under pressure
Ability to follow grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
Must pass pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other substances
Must complete emergency and safety training relevant to shipboard work

Job Duties

Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to service standards
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
Collecting and disposing of trash
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner
Greet guests upon embarkation and assist during special events such as afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
