Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is advantageous
  • Must be physically fit and able to perform duties requiring stamina
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Must adhere to safety and emergency procedures onboard
  • Willingness to live and work onboard for the full 28-week contract
  • Must not consume alcohol during employment periods

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
  • Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Able to pass pre-employment drug testing including for marijuana and controlled substances
  • Able to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
  • Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collecting and disposing of trash
  • Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests efficiently
  • Greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events such as afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
