Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is advantageous
- Must be physically fit and able to perform duties requiring stamina
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must adhere to safety and emergency procedures onboard
- Willingness to live and work onboard for the full 28-week contract
- Must not consume alcohol during employment periods
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
- Able to pass pre-employment drug testing including for marijuana and controlled substances
- Able to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Possess a positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
- Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
- Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies
- Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests
- Collecting and disposing of trash
- Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
- Creating genuine relationships with guests and catering to all housekeeping requests efficiently
- Greeting guests upon embarkation and assisting during special events such as afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
