Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three months related experience in cleaning or janitorial work
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties
  • Ability to hear and understand speech and other sounds

  • Knowledge of safety principles, laws, and regulations

Job Duties

  • Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas including patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobby areas
  • Participate in cleaning activities such as dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, and emptying trash
  • Keep assigned areas fully stocked with supplies like paper towels and toilet paper
  • Maintain stock on individual cleaning carts including wet and dry supplies
  • Maintain good customer relations at all times
  • Sort, wash, and accurately deliver linens
