Job Requirements

High school diploma preferred
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and team members

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Vision ability to see minute debris in poorly lit areas
Upper body strength to lift up to 50 lbs continually during an 8-hour shift
Dexterity to push, pull and move levers, equipment and furniture
Ability to work with arms raised above the head throughout an 8-hour shift
Ability to maneuver fully loaded maid cart weighing up to 50 lbs through hallways and closets
Ability to complete 2.5 rooms per one-hour time frame

Job Qualifications

High school diploma preferred
Experience in housekeeping or janitorial work preferred but not required
Basic knowledge of general cleaning principles
Familiarity with cleaning products and operation of standard cleaning equipment
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Good organizational and time management skills
Physically capable of performing housekeeping tasks
Friendly and approachable demeanor

Job Duties

Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning cart with supplies, maintain carts and storerooms in a clean and orderly fashion
Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms, public areas and hallways, often using ladders or stools
Wash shower walls and tub, clean toilets and stall walls, wipe exposed pipes, and clean mirrors and sinks
Replace towels, soaps and all room amenities, restock literature that is removed or soiled
Wash all hard floor areas by hand to remove dirt and soiled areas
Dust and polish all furniture, fixtures and wall hangings including vents and ceiling corners
Strip bed of all linen and remake with fresh linens, check bedspread, blankets and bed pads for cleanliness, replace if soiled
Check closet for cleanliness, wipe closet door, handle and shelves, restock guest room supplies
Vacuum rooms, public areas and hallways, operate vacuums up to 25lbs and move heavy furniture to clean under
Inspect all door and window locks and report any unsecured or unsafe situations
Inspect all room equipment (TV, lights, faucets, radios) and report maintenance issues
Secure custody of equipment, keys and supplies at all times
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor
Perform other duties as assigned by management
