Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and laundry
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to respect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
- Completion of required health screenings and drug testing
- Compliance with vaccination requirements as applicable
- Legal authorization to work in the applicable region

- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services meeting or exceeding quality standards

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, rugs, and carpets
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, and hand shampoo furniture, dust desk and floor lamps, and clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport clean and soiled linens to appropriate storage and collection areas
- Collect and remove trash maintaining trash receptacles clean and sanitary
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Inspect linens routinely for wear and tear and follow SOP for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry area clean, orderly, and sanitary
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- Document residents physical and behavioral changes by reviewing and initialing Daily Logs
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely when not in use
- Ensure cords, carts, and equipment do not block exits and comply with fire codes
- Follow safety procedures including PPE and Lockout Tagout
- Comply with infection control techniques and bio-hazard container protocols
- Participate as a team member to meet goals and demonstrate the Team Member Credo
- Attend regular meetings and maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
