Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years prior experience as bartender or bar back
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Minimum 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
  • Two years experience as cashier in a similar property
  • Liquor commission card and certification from alcohol awareness program required
  • Certification of previous training in liquor wine and food service preferred
  • TB clearance
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to reach six feet
  • Ability to stand walk for longer periods during work shift
  • Ability to maintain stationary position for longer periods during work shift

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years prior experience as bartender or bar back
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Prior restaurant service and guest relations experience preferred
  • Two years experience as cashier in a similar property
  • Liquor commission card and certification from alcohol awareness program
  • Certification in liquor wine and food service preferred
  • TB clearance
  • Knowledge of various drink recipes and beverage service standards
  • Ability to anticipate guest needs and maintain positive guest relations

Job Duties

  • Maintain complete knowledge of liquor brands beers non-alcoholic selections and wine list
  • Strictly abide by all state liquor regulations prohibiting service to minors intoxicated persons and drunk driving
  • Monitor cleanliness sanitation organization of bar areas and storage in compliance with Department of Health and OSHA regulations
  • Prepare and serve drinks consistently according to recipes and hotel specifications
  • Perform opening and closing duties including inventory management beverage ordering tip collection and cash handling through POS system
  • Interact with guests at the bar providing knowledgeable recommendations about food and beverage menus
  • Answer outlet telephone promptly using correct etiquette and keep supervisors informed of essential matters
