Job Requirements

  • Must possess a minimum of eighth-grade education
  • no prior experience required, on-the-job training provided
  • ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • ability to make independent decisions and accept constructive criticism
  • ability to interact tactfully with residents, family members, and staff
  • ability to maintain and care for supplies and equipment
  • willingness to work collaboratively with others
  • ability to follow instructions regarding cleaning solutions
  • must not pose a threat to workplace health or safety

Job Duties

  • Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
  • report all accidents/incidents to supervisor immediately
  • coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services during cleaning assignments
  • maintain confidentiality of assigned user ID codes and passwords and report any violation
  • protect resident's health information and report any known or suspected violations
  • report unauthorized access attempts to facility's information system
  • attend departmental and staff meetings
  • perform tasks according to daily work assignments
  • file complaints/grievances with supervisor
  • report incidents of fraud to administrator
  • ensure unattended computer workstations are logged off or password protected
