Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Zero to one year of experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities
  • Must be able to comply with all Maryland state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license
  • Able to communicate using a two-way radio with ear piece
  • Able to clean smoking areas
  • Able to push/lift up to 20 pounds
  • Able to stand and/or walk up to 7 1/2 hours per shift
  • Able to stoop, crouch, and kneel
  • Able to reach overhead with arms
  • Able to ascend/descend stairs for at least 7 1/2 hours per shift
  • Able to work in a sometimes loud or disruptive work environment
  • Require manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
  • Zero to one year of experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities
  • Must be able to comply with all Maryland state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license
  • Ability to effectively multitask
  • Ability to read, follow instructions, and understand visual aids
  • Ability to answer all calls promptly and maintain politeness
  • Ability to always pay attention to the needs of guests
  • Ability to use a vacuum and carpet cleaner, buffer, ladder, and shop vac
  • Knowledge of safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Welcoming and hospitable attitude

Job Duties

  • Work alongside room attendants in emptying trash
  • Collect soiled linen for laundering and receive linen supplies from floor shoots
  • Pick up clean linen and refill the par stock of linen on each floor laundry room
  • Perform duties of room attendant when necessary
  • Clean rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture using a vacuum cleaner, broom and carpet shampoo machine
  • Clean rooms, hallways and restrooms
  • Deep cleaning of FOH and BOH areas to include wall and ceiling washing, moving furniture and turning mattress
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish the floor
  • Maintain housekeeping carts
  • Deliver towels, cribs, cots, and other items to the guest rooms on request
  • Sort linen, stock room attendant closets
  • Remove soiled linen and trash from the poolside and other service areas and take to appropriate locations
  • Report missing/found articles, damage or merchandise problems to the housekeeping supervisors
  • Respond at all times in a friendly, helpful manner to guests and other colleagues
  • Take up any tasks assigned by the supervisors as and when needed
