Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience within an upscale hotel preferred
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and productivity expectations
  • Ability to identify and prioritize issues
  • Ability to assist guests with requests and communicate with office coordinator or supervisor
  • Must be personable and professional and use discretion in communication
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license as per San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission
  • No driving responsibilities
  • Must be able to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Strength to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and move up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Must work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Ability to perform physical activities including balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Hearing sufficient for conversational levels in person and via technology
  • Speech sufficient to be understood in multiple formats
  • Visual acuity for data preparation, transcription, and inspection
  • Mobility to safely move in office settings and travel to events
  • Endurance for extended work periods
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke possible

Job Duties

  • Clean and maintain all public areas in guest view including corridors, elevators landings, elevators, stairwells, and heart of house areas such as service elevators, linen closets, and storage rooms
  • Restock housekeeping carts with linen, supplies, and amenities
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks including carpet shampoo, water extraction, and high dusting as assigned
  • Deliver guest request items within ten minutes in a courteous and professional manner according to Forbes standards
  • Use radios and earpieces discretely to communicate with team members
  • Ensure proper usage and labeling of chemicals and cleaning supplies following OSHA and regulatory guidelines
  • Maintain and properly use equipment while adhering to health and safety policies
  • Motivate and support employees to collaborate, learn, perform, and develop their skills
  • Report maintenance issues and guest requests promptly to supervisors or coordinators
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental efficiency
