Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods
- Must adhere to company dress and grooming standards
- Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
- Must be available to work in a 24/7 operational environment
Job Qualifications
- Ability to push heavy carts
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests and staff
- Able to lift all equipment and supplies on and off carts
- Experience using property radio for communication
- Knowledge of safety and security procedures
- Ability to follow fire prevention and emergency protocols
- Physical stamina to perform continuous standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching
- Demonstrated reliability and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Review assigned area and complete general removal of trash or debris on floors
- Check assigned floor closets and replenish linen supplies
- Stock linen room with clean linen and supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets
- Strip dirty linen from assigned Room Attendant’s vacant, dirty, or stay-over rooms and place in laundry chute
- Remove dirty glasses from Room Attendants’ carts and closets and transport to dish steward
- Clean designated areas with proper chemicals, tools, and equipment including corridors, closets, service areas, elevators, laundry room, vending areas, and stairwells
- Wipe down surfaces of vending, ice, and laundry machines
- Ensure nothing is stored in stairwells
- Remove stains, scuff marks, and dust from carpets
- Deliver items requested by guests
- Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys to department
- Adhere to company policies and safety procedures
- Report property condition deficiencies and unsafe conditions
- Follow fire prevention and emergency procedures
- Utilize protective equipment
- Report accidents or injuries
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Perform related duties as requested
- Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
