Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
  • Ability to lift, reach, bend, stoop, stand and walk continuously
  • Ability to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds
  • Capacity to stand and walk for long periods
  • Good physical condition to perform demanding tasks
  • Willingness to follow company policies and safety guidelines
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to push heavy carts
  • Good communication skills for interacting with guests and colleagues
  • Experience using property radio for communication
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, tools and equipment
  • Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Review assigned area and complete general removal of any trash or debris on floors
  • Check assigned floor closets and replenish linen supplies
  • Stock linen room with clean linen and supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets
  • Strip all dirty linen from assigned Room Attendant's rooms and place in laundry chute
  • Remove dirty glasses from Room Attendant's carts and transport to dish steward
  • Return clean glasses to floor closets
  • Clean designated areas including guest room floor corridors, floor closets, service corridors, elevators and landings, guest laundry room, vending areas, stairwells
  • Wipe down surfaces of vending, ice and laundry machines
  • Ensure stairwells are free from storage
  • Remove stains, scuff marks and dust from carpets
  • Deliver items requested by guests
  • Turn in lost and found items and guest room keys
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Follow safety and security protocols
  • Know fire prevention and emergency procedures
  • Utilize protective equipment
  • Report property condition deficiencies
  • Report unsafe conditions and accidents
  • Maintain neat and clean appearance
  • Perform related duties as requested
  • Assist other housekeeping personnel when needed
