Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • CPR and Fire Safety certifications
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and neatly
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Commitment to safety and emergency procedures

Job Duties

  • Manage scheduling of front of house staff
  • Responsible for opening and closing the theater
  • Follow all procedures for end of shift, including turning off all lights and securing all areas
  • Supervise and facilitate cleaning and comfort of the theater, lobby, dressing rooms, and event spaces
  • Assist in preparation and coordination of materials for rentals and events
  • Coordinate with Box Office Manager and theater staff for ADA compliant needs
  • Warmly greet, guide, collect tickets, and assist patrons
  • Regulate traffic flow inside and outside the theater
  • Distribute programs
  • Provide assistance and instruction to patrons with special needs and in emergencies
  • Work independently and delegate as necessary
  • Coordinate with Stage Manager and Production Manager
  • Monitor and regulate food, beverage, cell phone and camera usage
  • Ensure signage and preparations for performances
  • Ensure safety through enforcement of emergency procedures and YMCA policies
  • Submit daily reports including any damages or repair needs
  • Ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts
