Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • some work experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired
  • must be authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • comfort working in fast-paced and dynamic environments
  • attendance and engagement in assigned training sessions
  • willingness to interact with various university departments as needed

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • some work experience relevant to event management or customer service
  • experience with house management or front-of-house operations preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work evenings and weekends
  • familiarity with theater policies and patron service practices preferred

Job Duties

  • Setting up and running assigned small- to medium-sized events or assisting Lead House Manager on larger events
  • making preparations for patron arrival
  • receiving and informing volunteer and student ushers
  • enforcing theater decorum, seating, and safety policies
  • solving patron service issues including ticketing and seating problems
  • releasing ushers post-show and securing venue
  • interacting with other staff and departments as necessary
