Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to high school diploma or higher
- Several years of experience in house management or related roles
- Proven leadership skills managing domestic staff
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of high-end household maintenance and technology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Discretion and integrity in handling confidential matters
- Ability to manage multiple residences
- Ability to assist with personal errands and pet care
- Willingness to travel as required
- Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends
- Commitment to signing a non-disclosure agreement
Job Qualifications
- Experience from a fine private home, luxury hotel, or formal service background
- Warm, intuitive, and dedicated to long-term service
- Excellent, verifiable references demonstrating reliability, integrity, and professionalism
- Understanding of the intricacies of housekeeping and how to support and guide housekeepers to excellence
- Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail and a true appreciation for order and beauty
- Provides discreet, anticipatory service with kindness and care
- Comfortable with smart home technology, digital scheduling tools, and household manual management
- Flexibility to travel between NYC and The Hamptons as needed
- Respects and protects the principals' privacy at all times
Job Duties
- Serve as the primary liaison for the principals and Chief of Staff with the domestic team
- Oversee, mentor, and support the interior staff, ensuring meticulous appearance standards including uniforms and fostering a collaborative environment through weekly meetings
- Maintain comprehensive digital household manuals, including maintenance calendars, inventories of fine items such as china, silver, linens, and the gift closet
- Manage household technology, AV systems, and computer files, ensuring all warranty manuals and equipment logs are updated and accessible
- Apply expert knowledge of couture wardrobes, fine fabrics, and specialty surfaces
- Lead seasonal rotations, holiday decor installations, and partner hands-on with housekeepers for deep-cleaning projects
- Oversee residence events in coordination with the Chef
- Manage guest databases including preferences, florals, and menus, and provide formal service during entertaining
- Manage household purchasing, deliveries, and vendor installations
- Oversee petty cash and house credit card reconciliation with high accuracy
- Assist with pet care including feeding and walks, florals, run errands, and handle phones and messages with professional discretion
