Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years of experience working with developmentally delayed population
  • supervisory experience
  • valid and qualified NYS driver's license
  • AMAP certification
  • SCIP-R certification
  • CPR certification
  • good oral and written communication skills
  • good organizational skills
  • good administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Direct management of daily operations for a residential site
  • ongoing supervision of Assistant Manager and Direct Support Professionals
  • implement all OPWDD regulations and COMPASS, CQL, and agency policies
  • complete weekly staffing schedules according to budget
  • manage operational budgets including overtime and supplies
  • maintain individual records and agency paperwork timely
  • upkeep individuals' bank accounts and personal allowances
  • complete time and attendance payroll for all staff
  • maintain staff support meetings and performance evaluations
  • participate in the program's management on-call system
  • attend management, cluster, and individual-related meetings
  • implement and participate in transportation routes for individuals
  • ensure compliance with medical needs and appointments
  • foster an environment promoting active participation of supported individuals
  • promote a person-centered support approach
  • teach and assist with community access and meaningful activities
  • actively participate in ISP, PHP, and team meetings
  • conserve and promote wellbeing and safety by applying treatment plans
  • confer with RNs, clinicians, physicians, and pharmacies
  • perform Direct Support Professional duties as needed including housekeeping
  • uphold professional relationships with employees, families, and vendors
  • perform other job-related duties as assigned
