The role of a Merry Maids team member involves professionally cleaning customer homes by following Merry Maids' unique cleaning procedures and using their specialized products and equipment. Team members will be responsible for cleaning a variety of surfaces such as fans, blinds, light fixtures, baseboards, counters, showers, toilets, cabinets, and floors. The job often involves physical activities such as vacuuming carpets and stairs, moving furniture within reason, and cleaning floors on hands and knees in certain areas.

Employees also carry and manage cleaning equipment and products between locations, help maintain cleaning supplies, and contribute to a positive team environment by being punctual, wearing a uniform, and maintaining a respectful attitude. Job Requirements

  • Ability to read cleaning instructions
  • Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs of equipment
  • Ability to withstand regular physical contact with pet hair, mold, dust, mildew and cleaning solutions
  • Ability to drive to and from various job sites
  • Must have a vehicle for use to and from customer homes
  • Must provide proof of insurance on vehicle
  • Willingness to undergo a formal background check and drug screening

Job Duties

  • Use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures to clean in customer homes
  • Use provided equipment including vacuums and microfiber cleaning cloths
  • Clean all surfaces in home, including fans, blinds, light fixtures, baseboards, fixtures, counters, showers, toilets, cabinets, and floors
  • Ability to clean floors on hands and knees in kitchens and bathrooms
  • Vacuum all stairs, carpet, hard surface floors and furniture
  • Move all reasonably moveable furniture to clean under and behind
  • Carry all cleaning products and equipment to and from office, vehicle, and customers' homes
  • Assist in keeping supplies stocked and maintain equipment
  • Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and contribute to the overall team effort including being in uniform, dependable and on time
  • Has respect and understanding for co-workers and customers
