Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • knowledge of safety procedures and proper use of protective equipment
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • reliable and punctual
  • good communication skills in English
  • willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Utilize proper protective equipment (ppe) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines
  • maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times while providing personalized service to hotel guests
  • communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • clean entire grounds of trash and cigarette butts
  • run laundry and empty housekeepers’ trash
  • clean lobby, exterior windows, hallways, walkways, railings, stairwells, pool furniture, ice and vending machines
  • maintain cleanliness of dumpster areas, sand urns, exterior light fixtures, public benches, exterior of guest room doors
  • shampoo carpets as assigned
  • turn mattresses as assigned
  • clean guestroom sliding glass doors as assigned
  • report any missing/found articles, or damage to the Housekeeping Supervisor
  • assist maintenance department with basic repairs (plumbing, carpentry)
  • provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel
  • perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
