Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within six months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • must be nineteen years of age or older
  • good verbal communication skills required
  • must be able to lift and carry up to seventy-five pounds
  • ability to work in areas containing dust or on high floors
  • occasionally kneels, climbs and crawls to work in difficult positions
  • must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • must be able to stand and walk for entire shift
  • must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
  • must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
  • must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test
  • willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • must have a Tribal Gaming License or the ability to obtain and maintain a license
  • must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke or secondary smoke environment

Job Duties

  • Project a positive image
  • greet all guests passing in corridors
  • deliver guests' requested items
  • vacuum corridors daily, spotting carpets as necessary
  • re-stock supplies in housekeeping storage closets
  • administer dirty and clean linen and terry items
  • load glassware into washers as needed
  • transport trash from room attendant’s carts
  • recover lost-and-found items
  • keep corridors and stairwells free from dust and debris
  • disseminate information to guests regarding the property, hotel, promotions, etc
  • report maintenance issues
  • perform routine maintenance on vacuum cleaner
  • keep storage areas and carts clean and orderly
  • work safe by observing safety rules and wearing proper equipment
  • other duties and responsibilities as assigned
