Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- ability to comply with standardized situations with occasional or no variables
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- ability to work flexible shifts and holidays
- ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- physical ability to push carts weighing up to 200 pounds
- capability to use close, distance and color vision
- ability to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
- ability to work with cleaning chemicals
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Cleans and vacuums hallways, lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings
- washes walls, ceilings and woodwork
- washes windows, door panels and sills
- maintains public area cleanliness including restrooms
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- stocks Room Attendant carts with linen and room supplies
- strips or removes dirty linen and transports to Laundry Room
- retrieves clean linens from Laundry Room and properly stocks on floors
- folds towels, sheets, linens as needed
- stocks closets or storage areas with linens and supplies
- assists Room Attendants with heavy lifting and moving of furniture and equipment
- maintains storage areas organization and cleanliness
- may assist with maintenance and cleaning of pool
- responsibly uses cleaning supplies
- offers pleasant greetings to guests
- demonstrates knowledge of in-house products and local area to assist customers
- maintains organization and timeliness when stocking carts
- responds promptly to customer needs for housekeeping supplies
- uses guest names upon entering occupied rooms
- performs other duties as assigned
