Job Duties

  • Perform general cleaning duties
  • deliver extra beds and cots to guest rooms
  • strip guest rooms
  • clean floors, shampoo carpets and furniture as needed
  • occasionally move or rearrange guest furniture
  • assist with unloading and storing of orders from the storeroom
  • dispose of trash as needed following recycling procedures
  • operate cart through guest floors to assigned rooms
  • deliver guest and housekeeping requests in timely manner
  • input real-time work orders via KYC and any guest concerns during interaction
  • convey with clarity in KYC any and all guest opportunities
  • follow proper Lost & Found procedures to ensure lost items are immediately reported when found
  • check chemical dispensers and refill
  • remove in room dining service trays from guest floor landings to proper designated area
  • speak with others using clear and professional language
  • be a team player by supporting team to reach common goals and know, comply with, and enforce all hotel and departmental standards, policies, and procedures
  • multi-task in special projects
  • ensure all equipment and facilities are functioning properly and report any malfunctions to Housekeeping Supervisors/Managers
  • take inventory of bathroom and bedroom amenities, toilet paper, other cleaning supplies and report the shortage to Housekeeping Manager
  • perform any other reasonable projects and duties as requested by the leadership team
  • consistently conduct oneself in a professional manner and work professionally with colleagues and team leaders with a team minded approach
  • attend pre-shift meetings to learn shift details, including property and guest expectations
  • participate and attend all required meetings
  • greet, welcome and acknowledge all guests by name and respond to their requests in a courteous and professional manner always using professional language
  • remain attentive to the needs of all guests, providing them with dependable, punctual and enthusiastic service
  • provide courteous, friendly and efficient service to all internal and external guests
  • thank guests with genuine appreciation
  • be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems, exercise good judgement, resolutions must be thoughtful, and with the guest in mind
  • immediate follow-up with a leader is expected
  • follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
  • report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • properly store flammable materials
  • ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards with self and colleagues
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary and guest information
