Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- four to six months of housekeeping experience or training preferred
- ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
- ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple instructions
- must have excellent customer service skills
- must be able to work effectively as part of a team
- ability to work flexible shifts and holidays
- physical ability to stand, walk, lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
- ability to use cleaning chemicals safely

Job Duties
- Cleans, vacuums hallways, lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways
- sweeps, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
- dusts furniture and equipment
- polishes metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
- washes walls, ceiling and woodwork
- washes windows, door panels and sills
- maintain public area cleanliness including restrooms
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- stocks Room Attendant carts with linen and room supplies
- strip or remove dirty linen and transport to Laundry Room
- retrieve clean linens from Laundry Room and properly stock on floors
- fold towels, sheets, linens as needed
- stock closets or storage areas as required with linens and supplies
- assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting and moving of furniture and equipment in guest rooms as assigned
- maintains storage areas organization and cleanliness
- may assist with maintenance and cleaning of pool as applicable
- careful use of supplies issued for cleaning and maintenance duties
- acknowledgement and pleasant greeting to each guest
- thorough knowledge of in house product and local area to assist customers
- proper organizational skills when stocking cart and timely cart stocking
- timely response to customer needs for housekeeping supplies
- use guest name at all times in occupied rooms
- other duties may be assigned
