Job Requirements

  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in food and beverage culinary with pastry and garde manger preferred
  • Relevant college coursework preferred
  • Fully experienced with various kitchen equipment
  • Ability to perform medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for long periods without sitting or leaning
  • Ability to bend, stretch, twist or reach
  • Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels
  • Near vision ability to see details at close range
  • Ability to move quickly and agilely
  • Ability to work long hours as required
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in English

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Mentor cooks, trainees, and support staff to deliver the Executive Chef's vision
  • Train and develop team members for all food outlets including banquet areas
  • Foster an atmosphere of teamwork and staff engagement while ensuring safety
  • Oversee safe production, preparation, and presentation of food
  • Manage kitchen operations in the Executive Chef’s absence
  • Follow and enforce safety, security, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures
  • Learn and apply new culinary techniques, skills, and financial responsibilities including scheduling, budgeting, and ordering
