Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years experience working in a high-volume kitchen setting
- ability to supervise and coordinate activities of food service associates
- knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- ability to work flexible full or part time shifts
- strong organizational and multitasking skills
- ability to interact professionally with customers and staff
Job Qualifications
- minimum 2-3 years experience in a high-volume kitchen as a sous chef or similar role
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- ability to prepare and cook food according to recipes and production standards
- excellent communication and customer service skills
- ability to manage inventory and handle administrative tasks such as scheduling and payroll
- culinary degree or certification preferred but not required
Job Duties
- cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards
- supervises hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate
- stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
- ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils and cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly and service-oriented manner and relays relevant information to supervisor
- demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them accurately to associates and customers
- monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies, tracks product production, consumption, and waste, and informs supervisor when supplies or product are low
- performs other duties as assigned
