Job Requirements
- Completion of eleventh grade
- considerable experience cooking foods in large quantities or equivalent education and experience
- ability to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- ability to pass criminal record check
- ability to pass reference checks
- ability to pass Child Protective Services check
- must complete tuberculin and drug screening
- must obtain ServSafe certification
- must complete IS100 and IS700 National Incident Management training within 90 days of employment
- ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications

- considerable experience in cooking foods in large quantities
- knowledge of kitchen equipment operation
- ability to maintain health and sanitary standards
- ability to follow menu requirements
- excellent teamwork and communication skills

- successful completion of IS100 and IS700 NIMS training within 90 days of employment
Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks meats, vegetables and other foods in accordance with menu
- readies meals for transport and serving in each pod
- bakes pastries and breads
- operates standard cooking equipment such as ranges, mixers, food choppers and other kitchen equipment
- assists in estimating and ordering food supplies
- cleans kitchen and equipment
- washes dishes
- receives and stacks food supplies
- maintains health and sanitary standards
- conducts routine inventory count of silverware
- dates and rotates food on shelves when food is delivered
- carries out trash and garbage
- performs other duties to provide direct or indirect service to the citizens as assigned
- accepts special assignments during emergencies as required
