Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required in Utah and Idaho
- ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- ability to stand for long periods
- capacity to lift and transport equipment and supplies
- ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
- good manual dexterity and vision
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- willingness to work varied shifts including 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- availability for full-time employment (40 hours per week)
Job Qualifications
- Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work in Utah and Idaho
- demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- knowledge of safe food handling techniques
- understands workflow, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines
- preferred ability to provide exceptional customer service
- preferred experience preparing food for modified diets
- preferred ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes and instructions
- serve customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings
- maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
- manage appropriate rotation and quantities of food products
- may prepare bulk food items and large-scale production
- deliver patient meals, cashier, and stock supplies as needed
- operate manual and automatic ware-washing machines
