Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required in Utah and Idaho
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • capacity to lift and transport equipment and supplies
  • ability to tolerate temperature extremes and exposure to cleaning chemicals
  • good manual dexterity and vision
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • willingness to work varied shifts including 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • availability for full-time employment (40 hours per week)

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification required by first day of work in Utah and Idaho
  • demonstrated ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • knowledge of safe food handling techniques
  • understands workflow, prioritizes tasks, and meets deadlines
  • preferred ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • preferred experience preparing food for modified diets
  • preferred ability to utilize commercial cooking equipment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes and instructions
  • serve customers in catering, retail, or patient care settings
  • maintain an organized and sanitary working environment
  • manage appropriate rotation and quantities of food products
  • may prepare bulk food items and large-scale production
  • deliver patient meals, cashier, and stock supplies as needed
  • operate manual and automatic ware-washing machines
