Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license relevant to the work location
  • One month related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic and comprehend time systems
  • Ability to drive and park vehicles safely
  • Ability to work night shifts and weekends
  • Physical capability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English language
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor
  • Use guest last names during interactions
  • Post in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles safely while driving cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
  • Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
  • Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area
  • Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon arrival
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
