Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read, write and comprehend standard English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to understand time systems and applicable rates
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, including manual transmissions and parallel parking
- Physical capability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Availability for afternoon and evening shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state of employment or a commutable distance
- One month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to perform basic math with American money units
- Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
- Understanding of parking rates related to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- Use appropriate salutations and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously and safely
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and general inquiries
- Provide information about facility outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and nearby attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved destinations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks prior to returning keys
- Complete and maintain all ticket and key tag information accurately
- Perform damage surveys and document all vehicle information in the valet system
- Calculate and collect parking fees when necessary
