Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
  • One month of related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to understand and communicate clearly
  • Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting up to 100 pounds
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to work part-time including AM, PM, and overnight shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or within commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand parking rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable)
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests
  • Practice proper phone etiquette
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
  • Provide information about facility outlets, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks before issuing keys
  • Maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim receipts
  • Calculate and collect revenue as needed
