Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver’s license for the state of employment or commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence and instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division with American money
- Ability to understand and interpret time systems and parking rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking (highly desirable)
- Maintain a pleasant and professional demeanor
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work or a commutable distance from that state
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s, including using units of American money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guests' last names
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries
- Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to key issuance
- Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect parking revenue when needed
