Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Valid driver's license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic with money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- Ability to operate a manual transmission and perform parallel parking is highly desirable
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state applying to work or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English language
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers, multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s, and perform operations using American money units
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using a professional and friendly demeanor
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- Open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities of the facility as well as local area attractions
- Deliver messages, items and guest amenities upon request
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests upon arrival
- Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- Maintain accurate ticket information including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
