Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the relevant state or a commutable distance
- At least one month of related experience or equivalent training
- Basic knowledge of customer service principles
- Competent in reading and writing English
- Effective communication skills
- Basic math skills including operations with money
- Understanding of time systems used in operations
- Ability to drive vehicles with manual transmission preferred
- Capable of performing parallel parking
- Physically able to meet lifting and outdoor work demands
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations with money
- Ability to understand 24 hour and military time
- Ability to understand applicable rates
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet
- Use guest last names during interactions
- Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
- Practice proper phone etiquette
- Park and retrieve vehicles cautiously
- Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Provide directions, taxi arrangements, reservations, and other guest inquiries
- Inform guests about facilities, amenities, and local attractions
- Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttle guests to approved locations
- Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- Collect claim checks before returning keys
- Complete and maintain ticket information and damage surveys
- Calculate and collect revenue when necessary
