Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- valid driver’s license
- one month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- knowledge of customer service principles and processes
- ability to read, write and comprehend English
- effective communication skills
- basic math skills
- understanding of time systems and rate calculations
- ability to operate manual transmission highly desirable
- physical ability to perform duties including walking, climbing, lifting up to 100 pounds
- ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- open availability for AM and PM shifts
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or within commutable distance
- one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English
- ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- ability to write simple correspondence
- ability to present information effectively to guests and colleagues
- ability to perform basic arithmetic and understand money units
- understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using their last names
- uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- practices proper phone etiquette
- parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
- opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities and local attractions
- delivers messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- shuttles guests to approved locations
- explains parking rates and retrieval procedures
- issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks before issuing keys
- completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey and claim check receipt
- calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
