Job Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • valid California driver's license
  • gaming license issued by Paskenta Gaming Commission
  • must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino
  • able to perform physical demands including standing, walking, handling objects, and occasionally lifting up to 40 pounds
  • ability to work flexible schedules
  • knowledge of hotel and casino policies
  • ability to maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
  • willingness to cooperate with safety regulations
  • must be able to conduct meetings and train staff effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or equivalent education
  • minimum of two years hotel front desk supervisory experience
  • knowledge of office equipment and hotel operations
  • computer skills including filing and record keeping
  • understanding of safety procedures
  • ability to read and write simple correspondence
  • effective communication and public relations skills
  • basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, and percent calculations
  • ability to apply common sense and problem-solving in standardized situations
  • good interpersonal skills with guests and staff

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and guest services skills
  • provides front desk staff with necessary training and support
  • supervises and monitors activities of all front desk staff ensuring adherence to hotel standards
  • enforces Rolling Hills Casino and hotel's policies through coaching, counseling, training, and disciplining
  • acts as manager on duty in absence of hotel manager
  • assists housekeeping department when needed
  • handles complaints, problems, disturbances, and special requests
  • works closely with housekeeping to improve guest services
  • ensures total guest satisfaction
  • greets, checks in, and checks out guests
  • handles walk-ins, stay-overs, and room changes
  • answers telephones, makes reservations, and directs calls
  • posts and explains incidental guest charges and corrects mistakes
  • maintains control over room keys and verifies proper key assignment
  • develops thorough knowledge of property amenities and promotions
  • counts and balances cash drawer, credit card, and check payments
  • follows credit card policies
  • manages inventory and orders supplies
  • conducts safety meetings
  • stays informed about property activities and meetings
  • conducts regular meetings with front desk staff
  • ensures front desk employees wear proper uniforms
  • works flexible schedule
  • performs other assigned duties
