Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- ability to pass criminal background, MVR, and drug screenings
- minimum age 21
- valid driver’s license
- pass annual or semiannual motor vehicle record checks
- complete wheelchair safety training as required
- one to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to drive manual transmission
- effective communication skills
- basic math and comprehension abilities
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- ability to pass a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
- must be at least 21 years old due to vehicle leasing contract requirements
- possess a valid driver’s license and maintain it at all times
- successful completion of Towne Park’s Wheelchair Safety Training course
- one to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to drive manual transmission vehicles
- ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
- ability to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings
- basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- understanding of 24-hour and military time systems and related rates applicable to time
Job Duties
- shuttle guests to appropriate locations approved by management and client contact
- communicate courteously and professionally with guests and staff using telephone, radio, and in-person interactions
- operate and inspect vehicles seating up to eight passengers for safety and proper functioning before each shift
- assist guests with luggage during arrival and departure including delivery and pickup
- protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA requirements and maintain security of client information
- clean and safely operate wheelchairs and assist patrons entering and exiting vehicles
- complete and maintain vehicle activity and maintenance logs
