Job Duties
- schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage
- inspect all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair
- provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department
- ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment, and uniforms including nametags and designated PPE
- train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards consistently
- identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately
- complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents
- perform all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning
- verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift
- perform opening and closing shift duties
- notify maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary
- monitor cleanliness of hotels including parking lot and exterior entrances
- be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- other duties as assigned
