Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year previous experience cleaning in a similar position
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Demonstrate a working knowledge in the safe and correct use of all cleaning chemicals and proper operation of equipment
- Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout shift
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in confined areas
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work occasional overtime
- Must be able to carry and communicate by two-way radio
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses and or certifications
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of one year experience in a similar cleaning position
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos
- Knowledge of safe and correct use of cleaning chemicals
- Competency in operating cleaning equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses or certifications
Job Duties
- Heavy cleaning of hotel public areas including floors, walls, and fixtures
- Detailed cleaning and maintenance of restrooms
- Polishing and waxing of marble and brass surfaces
- Moving and stocking linens efficiently
- Operating cleaning equipment safely and correctly
- Communicating effectively with team members via two-way radios
- Working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
