Job Requirements

  • Previous courtyard bistro experience or similar food outlet experience (e.g. Panera, Starbucks) preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Friendly, outgoing, customer service-oriented personality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Problem solving and decision making skills
  • Hands-on experience with cash register and POS systems
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and process orders as they appear on the screen
  • Food safety certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when needed

Job Duties

  • Completes opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools
  • Cleaning all equipment and areas
  • Sets up, stocks, and maintains work areas
  • Takes customer orders, inputs orders into order system, obtains payment and provides change
  • Communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • Prepares food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol (during PM shifts)
  • Prepares ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Prepares and cooks food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
  • Provides assistance in food and beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables
  • Delivers food to guests
  • Performs general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area
  • Counts bank at end of shift, completes designated cashier reports, resolves any discrepancies, drops off receipts, and secures bank
  • Other duties as assigned by management
