Job Requirements

  • Previous Courtyard Bistro experience or similar food outlet experience preferred
  • high school diploma or equivalent required
  • friendly outgoing customer service oriented personality
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • accuracy and attention to detail
  • problem solving and decision making skills
  • hands-on experience with cash register and POS systems
  • able to work in a fast paced environment
  • ability to read and process orders as they appear on the screen
  • food safety certification or ability to obtain certification
  • must be able to multi-task and prioritize tasks when needed

Job Duties

  • Completes opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools
  • cleaning all equipment and areas
  • sets up, stocks, and maintains work areas
  • takes customer orders, inputs orders into order system, obtains payment and provides change
  • communicates additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
  • prepares food, coffee and other beverages, including alcohol during PM shifts
  • prepares ingredients for cooking including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • prepares and cooks food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist
  • provides assistance in food and beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables
  • delivers food to guests
  • performs general cleaning of food and beverage prep areas and other areas within the lobby area
  • counts bank at end of shift, completes designated cashier reports, resolves any discrepancies, drops off receipts, and secures bank
  • performs other duties as assigned by management
