Job Requirements

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • or 4-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 6 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing, or related professional area
  • ability to manage multiple departments including front office, retail, recreation, housekeeping, security, engineering, food and beverage, and event management
  • strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • proficiency in reviewing and analyzing financial reports
  • excellent communication skills
  • commitment to maintain guest and employee satisfaction
  • availability to work full-time at the W Miami location

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field with 8 years experience in management operations, sales and marketing or related area

Job Duties

  • function as the strategic business leader of property operations and act as General Manager in his or her absence
  • develop and implement the operations strategy ensuring alignment with brand service strategy and initiatives
  • manage Front Office, Retail, Recreation, Housekeeping, Security, Engineering, Food and Beverage, and Event Management departments
  • review financial reports and budgets to maintain financial performance and profitability
  • coach and support operations teams to manage occupancy, wages, and controllable expenses
  • communicate operational goals and implement brand and regional initiatives
  • lead hiring, performance appraisals, and maintain high employee engagement and satisfaction
  • tour property regularly to assess operational opportunities and guest needs
