Job Requirements
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and/or Restaurant Management, or related major
- Equivalent training and experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in a complex hotel
- Previous Marriott experience required
- Working knowledge of Lightspeed, GXP, and MGS required
- Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service
- Ability to correctly process check-ins and check-outs, answer questions, and resolve guest requests in compliance with policies and procedures, brand standards, and federal, state and local regulations
- Ability to process guest bills and collect payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card processing, and accounting policies and procedures
- Ability to compile facts and figures in a timely manner, identify and investigate issues, and resolve basic matters
- Ability to follow an appropriate course of action based on policies and procedures
- Excellent communication, managerial and leadership skills
- Proactive and results-driven
- Both a team player and captain (hands-on leader)
- Attention to details, good organizational skills, and efficient time management
Job Qualifications
- 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and/or Restaurant Management, or related major
- Luxury Director of Operations, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager experience in a full-service hotel preferred
- Minimum 6 years of experience in hotel management, preferably in complex hotel
- Previous Marriott experience
- Working knowledge of Lightspeed, GXP, and MGS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven leadership and managerial capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple departments and complex projects
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
- Knowledge of brand standards and regulatory compliance
- Ability to foster employee engagement and guest satisfaction

Job Duties
- Assist the Managing Director in managing daily hotel operations to drive guest service excellence and financial profitability
- Oversee guest services and housekeeping for both properties
- Demonstrate effective communication and strong leadership skills
- Delegate responsibilities, organize complex projects, and establish priorities in line with hotel goals
- Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service and financial measurement
- Implement and manage daily quality processes including communicating goals, driving staff development, ensuring compliance with brand standards, overseeing product and performance quality, handling service recovery and proactively preventing issues
- Handle emergency situations and other incidents
- Field guest complaints, conduct research to develop the most effective solutions, negotiate results and prepare written correspondence to customers
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, assessing and evaluating, coaching and counseling, and recognizing and rewarding department heads, managers, supervisors, and line-level employees
- Directly oversee Rooms and Guest Services divisions
- Offer supervision to the entire hotel operations staff, enforce policies, and develop plans for carrying out work programs
- Schedule self to the needs of the business including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Assist in hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, managing balanced scorecard performance, implementing and complying with all company policies and brand standards, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, responding to guest inquiries and resolving concerns, and meeting participation and facilitation
- Ensure communication channels are in place between departments and follow up accordingly for accountability
- Assist in identifying operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies
- Work closely with the Managing Director in monitoring policies and guidelines in day-to-day hotel operations to ensure profitability and consistency
- Oversee and be accountable for compliance with all legal requirements including OSHA, health department and fire regulations
- Maintain adherence and promotion of company corporate identity
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with public authorities, community relations, and key contacts
- Perform any other tasks or duties as requested by management
