Job Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years progressive experience in hotel or related field

Job Duties

  • Participate in hotel sales efforts including calling on top accounts and meeting clients
  • Tour operating departments daily to ensure smooth operations and proper staffing via department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff and training meetings reviewing sales and operations efforts
  • Hold weekly one-on-one meetings with operational department heads to review financials, goals, and performance
  • Attend operational line ups at least once a week for key departments
  • Meet all financial review dates and complete corporate programs on time
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain productivity levels and follow hotel accounting procedures
  • Develop and train managers for future advancement
  • Participate in required management on duty (M.O.D.) coverage
  • Maintain and monitor effectiveness of the Lobby Ambassador program
  • Oversee management trainee development
  • Enforce compliance with hotel policies and train new managers
  • Assist with hotel budgeting and monthly forecasting processes
  • Ensure training in service standards occurs in all departments
  • Manage payroll procedures and compliance with overtime and break policies
  • Ensure operational compliance with PCI protocols
  • Foster a positive team environment focused on guest service
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
  • Ensure daily processing of invoices according to accounts payable procedures
  • Submit financial documents timely to corporate office
  • Maintain physical property cleanliness and maintenance
  • Promote attentive and courteous employee behavior toward guests and management
  • Forecast hotel financial position monthly and analyze revenue and expenses
  • Conduct hiring interviews and ensure compliance with interview procedures
  • Perform manager performance appraisals and enforce counseling and disciplinary standards
  • Handle other duties as requested by senior management
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
  • Meet clients on property to support sales
  • Greet guests during peak times in public areas
  • Manage security and audits of the hotel safe
  • Conduct monthly credit meetings and manage credit policies
  • Complete corporate training modules and become certified to train others
  • Schedule and conduct all hotel meetings timely
  • Conduct daily weekly business review (WBR) meetings with Director of Sales
