Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience
- previous hotel management experience with proven leadership and guest service success
- strong financial understanding
- bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- prior sales leadership producing at least 50 percent market mix of revenues
- valid driver's license
- exceptional time management and multitasking skills
- customer-focused with commitment to satisfaction
- physically able to stand, sit, walk, bend, lift, and squat for extended periods
- occasional travel availability
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or extensive relevant work experience
- minimum of 5 years of progressive hotel management experience
- proven leadership in team and guest service management
- financial acumen to understand and work with financial data
- excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- effective listening skills for problem resolution
- prior leadership in direct sales generating at least 50 percent market mix of total revenues
- valid state driver's license
- exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- strong customer focus with commitment to employee and guest satisfaction
Job Duties
- Lead the property in revenue generation through sales and marketing efforts
- maintain strong knowledge of and relationships in the local market
- manage relationships with hotel vendors and negotiate service agreements
- review financial reports and statements to assess property performance against budget and develop improvement strategies
- coach and support hotel team to manage occupancy, rates, wages, and controllable expenses effectively
- manage costs including supplies, labor, utilities, food, and beverage within budget
- ensure service, technical skills, and training throughout the property
- establish and maintain collaborative relationships with direct reports and team
- actively solicit team member feedback and utilize an open door policy
- hire team members demonstrating expertise and leadership
- observe service behaviors and provide feedback
- review guest feedback and identify areas for improvement
- analyze service issues and develop creative solutions
- regularly interface with customers to assess satisfaction
- ensure property maintenance meets guest expectations
- administer policies fairly and evaluate team member performance
- ensure franchise standards compliance and property safety
